Tuesday 14th May

A good rehearsal putting the final touches to the weekend programme.  Cake break of home made sausage rolls , chocolate and orange muffins and lemon muffins  was provided by Jess Marshall.  Thank you Jess!

Saturday 18th May

The band performed at the WW2 celebration held at Grays Court Denaby.  A very entertaining programme was played including WW2 songs, a medley  of Tom Jones songs,  One Day Like This, 4 soloists were also featured ,  Norman Horton on Flugel horn playing the ever popular ‘Under The Boardwalk’, Caroline Avery (Principal Cornet) who played ‘Share My Yolk’ then in the absense of our Solo Euphonium (who is on a weeks holiday in the sun) Paula Johnson (our co-principal euphonium) played ‘Benedictus’ and finally a popular trombone oldie,  ‘The Acrobat played by Matt Read.  Well Done Everyone!  A big thank you to Penny, Tony Draper and especially our ever popular friend and ex member Steve Sweeting who came all the way from Bridlington.

Sunday 19th May

No rehearsal.  A well earned day off.  See you all Tuesday!
